Artbound: How I Got a Job @ Industrial Light & Magic

Join ABI alumnus Adam Wong, a VFX Artist at Industrial Light & Magic in Sydney, for an insider look at one of the world’s most legendary VFX studios – behind films like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Transformers One. Adam will share his journey from interning in New York to working across CG environments, lookdev, lighting, and compositing, plus the skills that helped him stand out in the competitive film and VFX industry.  ✨ Event Highlights ✨  ⌚️Insider Company Talk + Q&A (45 mins) Hear Adam’s story from ABI intern to landing a role at ILM, and get insights into what it takes to succeed in the competitive world of film and VFX. Bring your questions and get them answered live! ⌚️ Program Intro + Q&A (15 mins) We’ll provide an overview of our internship program and introduce you to the company partners we’ll be collaborating with for Summer internships. Please note: this session will be live only and not recorded.  About the Speaker: Adam Wong is a VFX Artist at Industrial Light & Magic in Sydney, working as a Generalist across CG environments, lookdev, lighting, and compositing, with credits including Transformers One, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, The Power of the Dog, and commercials for League of Legends, Taco Bell, and more. An Artbound Initiative alumnus with nearly 10 years in post-production across New York City, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, he holds a Bachelor of Animation from Swinburne University of Technology and enjoys tennis, AFL, and Formula 1.  This event is brought to you by ArtBound Initiative.
