John Lewis Young Leaders: North Carolina Good Trouble Summit

LOCATION: FedEx Global Education Center in Room 1009 and 1005The North Carolina Youth Summit is a collaboration between the Netherlands Consulate of Atlanta and Robert F Kennedy Human Rights and provides students with leadership development workshops and networking opportunities. Selected students will discuss topics such as the importance of diversity in professional spaces, how businesses and entrepreneurship promote and preserve culture, and how to implement an international lens to build cultural competency. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and transportation vouchers are available to all students. Please complete this interest form by January 23, 2026 at 5:00pm EST. If you register without completing the interest form you will not be able to participate in the summit.You should especially sign up if you are: Majoring in business, political science, pre-law, international affairs, and other humanities track From a diverse background including race, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status A current Freshman, Sophomores, or Junior Agenda at a glance: 9am-12pm: Welcome Session including a workshop on leadership development and panel on private and public partnerships 12:15-1:30pm: Networking lunch with business and thought leaders  1:45-3:15pm: Professional development session on “being in your own ecosystem”, forming and utilizing networks and partnerships in your community.  For students who attend the Good Trouble Summit and are interested in applying for the John Lewis Young Leaders Program 2026-2027 cohort year, you will fast track the application and go into a full review process. This means that you will have the benefit of bypassing the initial screening of over 500 applications and your application will be placed in front of the review committee, getting you one step closer to an interview.
