Kappa Delta Pi Info Session (School of Education)

To be eligible for KDP- you must be an undergraduate or graduate student within the School of Education. All graduate students are elgibile. Undergraduates are eligible with a 3/25 GPA or higher.

Who is Eligible to Join the KDP – Pi Theta Chapter?
Students must be an active undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral student in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)
Applicants must be enrolled and have completed 6 credit hours of EDUC at UNC
All candidates must submit an unofficial transcript or copy of a KDP-written invitation during application. This email serves as your official, KDP-written invitation.
All candidates should support KDP’s mission, vision, and values.
For undergraduate students…
You must be accepted into a major (Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) or Human and Organizational Leadership Development (HOLD)) within the School of Education or have an education minor declared
The minimum GPA for the Pi Theta Chapter is 3.25
For graduate students…
Alternative certification candidates with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree shall be enrolled in or have already completed 6 hours of education courses. There is no GPA requirement for someone who is pursuing teaching credentials and has earned a baccalaureate degree.
Join KDP now for $65.00 to access the benefits, resources, and community. There is a one-time initiation fee of $10.00 that must be paid to the Pi Theta Chapter at the time of application for a total application fee of $75.
