UNC School of Nursing Mobile Health Clinic: Celebrating 10 Years of Community Engagement

Established in 2016, the UNC School of Nursing (SON) Mobile Health Clinic (MHC) is a nurse-led, free clinic providing health screenings, patient education, and referrals to community resources. The clinic is operated by SON faculty, inter-professional students, and community volunteers, addressing gaps in healthcare for vulnerable populations. The MHC has been awarded the Gold Seal for quality care by the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. The upcoming showcase will feature a panel presentation on the clinic’s history, strategic partnerships, outreach initiatives, and its measurable impact on community health and students’ learning. The panel discussion will be followed by an optional virtual tour of the clinic and adjacent community resources.
